One Dead in Chula Vista Pedestrian Accident

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (May 7, 2019) – A pedestrian died following a collision with a trolley car on L Street on May 6.
 
Authorities received a report before 5:25 a.m. that a Metropolitan Transit System trolley struck a pedestrian. The incident occurred near L Street and Industrial Boulevard, Chula Vista police Lt. John English revealed.
 
English added that they pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. As of this time, the identity and other details of the victim remain unavailable.
 
Meanwhile, the collision delayed the Blue Line trolley by about 20 minutes due to the investigation. However, service came back to normal around 7:40 a.m.
 
MTS currently investigates the circumstances that caused the collision.
