1 Dead in Seattle Pedestrian Accident

 
SEATTLE, WA (July 30, 2019) – A pedestrian died in a collision on Highway 529 on July 27.
 
Cmdr. Mark Thomas of the Marysville Police Department received a report of the crash shortly before 2:00 a.m. According to reports, a firefighter driving a Marysville Fire District aid car hit and killed a pedestrian. The man walked south in the lane of travel when the accident happened.
 
The 55-year-old man of Bellingham died on Highway 529 on the bridge over Steamboat Slough. His identity remains unknown as of this time.
 
Thomas said that the firefighters involved tried to save the pedestrian and requested for assistance. However, the Everett Fire Department pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
 
The incident left the two firefighters on administrative leave due to the pending investigation.
