Fort Bragg Pedestrian Accident on Highway 1 at Tregoning Drive

 
FORT BRAGG, CA (July 7, 2019) – A vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian early Sunday morning in Fort Bragg, authorities said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 12:45 a.m. on Highway 1, between Tregoning Drive and Ocean Drive.
 
Arriving units found the pedestrian lying on the roadway. A coroner was called to the scene and confirmed the fatality of the incident.
 
The police did not release the name, age and town of residence of the victim, pending family notification.
 
Officers closed the highway in both directions for about two hours while they investigated the incident.
 
Details are sparse on what exactly transpired. In addition, police did not release any other information at this time. We will continue to update this post as new details are released.
