PHOENIX, AZ (October 5, 2019) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car Saturday evening in Phoenix.
 
The crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on 17 Freeway near Glendale Avenue.
 
Authorities did not provide the details of how the crash occurred, but the unidentified pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The crash closed all the freeway traffic until around 11:00 p.m.
