Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 68th Avenue and Power Inn Road

 
FLORIN, CA (July 8, 2019) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Monday evening in Florin, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of 68th Avenue and Power Inn Road.
 
According to an initial log, a silver Ford Escape hit the pedestrian was hit on the right shoulder of the road. However, the victim succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
 
Power Inn Road completely shut down while officers and crews investigated the incident. However, the southbound lanes of Power Inn Road reopened by 10:30 p.m.
 
Details are sparse on what exactly transpired and no identifying information is being released at this time. In addition, police are still gathering evidence.
