Gaze Mohammed Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-880 in Fremont

 
Fremont, CA (June 11, 2021) – Thursday night, CHP investigated a crash that left pedestrian Gaze Mohammed, 28, dead on Interstate Highway 880.
 
The Fremont fatal crash happened at around 11:02 p.m. on June 10, at the Alvarado Boulevard off-ramp.
 
Later reports revealed that Hayward resident Gaze Mohammed died in the accident.
 
Apparently, the victim hit equipment near a construction zone southbound on Interstate 880, then was fatally struck by another vehicle as he stood in a freeway lane.
 
Meanwhile, the CHP has issued a Sig-Alert due to the collision.
 
Moreover, the collision briefly blocked all lanes of southbound Interstate Highway 880, and as of just before midnight, three southbound lanes remained closed.
 
Further investigation on this deadly I-880 pedestrian accident ongoing.
