SANTA MARIA, CA (January 20, 2021) – Saturday evening, a pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on South Blosser Road and West Cook Street.
 
According to Sgt. Michael McGehee, authorities responded to a report of a pedestrian crash at around 6:20 p.m. Moreover, the incident transpired at the intersection of South Blosser Road and West Cook Street.
 
Reports revealed that the pedestrian was struck by the vehicle while crossing the road north of the intersection.
 
Then, responders transported the victim to a hospital with critical injuries.
 
According to witnesses and a surveillance video, the hit-and-run vehicle fled the scene southbound on Blosser Road. Afterward, it turned east onto Boone Street.
 
Meanwhile, the hit-and-run vehicle was described to be an older model, small and round looking sedan and is believed to be dark in color.
 
Also, the police said that the vehicle sustained damages to the front bumper and front light.
