Unidentified Person Hospitalized after Anaheim Accident near Harbor Boulevard

ANAHEIM, CA (May 27, 2020) – Early Tuesday, a pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash near Harbor Boulevard.

Numerous people swarmed after midnight near Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue. According to Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer, at least 15 vehicles were doing illegal exhibitions through the intersection.

Authorities came to the scene to tend to the gathering. They also found footage of a red coupe fleeing from the scene as the officers arrived.

According to the investigations, a sports car hit a man who was standing in the street. However, the driver then fled west on Katella Avenue. Then, responders transported the victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries. Carringer also said that the injuries were described as moderate.

Meanwhile, the police added that the suspect vehicle may be a Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ. However, the vehicle has not license plate in its front bumper but may have had one on its dashboard.

Pending Investigations for Anaheim Hit-and-Run Crash

The authorities ask for the public’s help as they continue to investigate. They are urging anyone who can help them track the driver or the vehicle to contact APD Traffic Investigator Poer at 714-765-1474.

Carringer also revealed that no other person sustained injuries in the collision.

“This one was actually on the smaller side compared to what we have seen,” Carringer said about the illegal exhibition that happened near Harbor Boulevard.

If you become involved in a serious auto accident, do your best to remain calm and see if anyone involved suffered injuries. Leaving the scene comes with more severe consequences for you. Whenever you are behind the wheel of a vehicle, it is your responsibility to follow all traffic laws.

As a driver, you should be aware of the pedestrians and motorists around you.
