Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver After Crash on North 11th Street in San Jose

San Jose, CA (November 8, 2024) – San Jose police are actively searching for the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run crash on North 11th Street last month.

At 6:51 p.m. on October 18, officers responded to a report of the incident at the intersection of North 11th and East Julian Streets. 

Police said a vehicle turning north from eastbound East Julian Street struck and ran over a pedestrian who was crossing North 11th Street within a crosswalk.

The suspect vehicle fled the scene, leaving the victim with major injuries. Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital, where their condition was later stabilized.

Authorities described the suspect vehicle as a small black SUV, potentially a 2013-2019 Ford Escape or a similar model. 

San Jose police released video footage of the collision on Friday to aid in identifying the suspect.
