Police Investigate Hit-And-Run Crash on 6100 SW Freeway in Houston

Houston, TX (November 15, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on 6100 SW Freeway.

Reportedly, a man driving a red sedan struck a pedestrian on an exit ramp, claiming the individual was running across the lane at the time of the incident.

According to the driver, the impact propelled the pedestrian into the lane of the service road, where they were struck a second time by a white vehicle, possibly an SUV. 

The second vehicle fled the scene without stopping.

Currently, no video evidence has surfaced, and the red sedan driver is the sole witness to the crash. 

Road resurfacing work in the area has left limited evidence for investigators to examine.

Police remain at the scene and estimate their investigation will continue for about an hour until the medical examiner arrives to assess the injuries and help clarify the sequence of events. 

The Houston Police Department’s Hit and Run Division is actively working on the case, seeking video footage and additional information to piece together what occurred.

Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the fleeing vehicle to contact the Houston Police Department to assist in the investigation.
