Police Search for Hit-and-Run Driver that Struck Person near Broadway
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 10, 2018) – A pedestrian was injured Monday morning following a hit-and-run crash on Ninth Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 8:30 AM near Broadway. The victim was struck by a newer model silver sedan, near the East Village intersection. It is not clear if it happened at a designated crosswalk or not. The vehicle fled the scene, leaving the injured person in the road.
The unidentified victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. There is no update on his current medical condition at this time. Police continue to search for the hit-and-run driver, although there is no description of the suspect or the vehicle involved. No other information has been disclosed, as the investigation continues
