1 Hurt in Las Vegas Accident on Las Vegas Boulevard and Washington Avenue

LAS VEGAS, NV (March 14, 2021) – Saturday morning, a 31-year-old pedestrian suffered injuries in a crash on Las Vegas Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

The incident occurred at around 6:25 a.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard North and East Washington Avenue.

According to Lt. Ken Nogle, the crash involved two SUVs that had crashed. The impact sent one of the vehicles onto the sidewalk which hit a pedestrian.

Meanwhile, the investigators revealed that a 26-year-old woman driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer didn’t stop at a red light. As a result, it crashed into an 18-year-old woman driving a 2009 Dodge Journey.

“The collision redirected the Dodge onto the sidewalk, striking the pedestrian,” the department revealed.

As a result, responders took the pedestrian to University Medical Center with critical injuries. Also, responders transported the Dodge’s driver with minor injuries.

On the other hand, the Chevrolet driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation.

At this time, the police do not suspect impairment as a factor in the collision.
