Preventing Auto Accidents

As roadways continue to clear and walking outside has increased in commonality, pedestrian accident statistics are soaring.

However, you can avoid being involved in an accident by avoiding dangerous habits. Also, make sure to always walk on the sidewalk (no jaywalking) and make eye contact with drivers. Furthermore, never assume the driver can see you.

If you’re a driver, know that pedestrians have the right of way at any crosswalk or intersection. You must yield and be prepared to stop.

“Pedestrian accidents do not occur as much as motor vehicle accidents, but the pedestrian accidents tend to include more serious injuries,” says Tyler Toomey, a practicing attorney at Sweet Lawyers.

Although no amount of compensation can make a difference to the damages you suffered, pursuing a legal case against the reckless driver in your accident can help your family immensely. The Sweet Lawyers are here to lead your case while you focus on recovering. Our lawyers specialize in personal injury cases that will result in a high settlement to help you and your family with medical bills, time off work, etc. Tackling costly expenses that result from an accident is no easy feat, and we’re here to assist in that regard.
