Pedestrian Suffered Severe Leg Injuries in Los Angeles DUI Crash

LOS ANGELES, CA (March 4, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a car driven by a suspected drunken driver on Imperial Highway on Friday, March 1.

Los Angeles police officers responded at around 8:45 p.m. to a traffic accident in the 1100 block of Imperial Highway near Wadsworth Avenue. They found the victim, who was standing on a sidewalk at the time of the collision, Los Angeles Police Department Officer V. Villanueva said.

Officers transported the victim to a hospital with severe trauma to both legs. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s condition and identity.

They arrested the driver on suspicion of DUI, according to Villanueva.
