Pecos Road Traffic Accident Sends 1 to Hospital
Las Vegas, NV (August 16, 2023) – On Tuesday morning, a 58-year-old Henderson man was injured and a dog has been killed following an accident on Flamingo Road.
The LVMPD officers received the crash report at about 3:50 a.m. in the area of Pecos Road.
Officers said they believe a 2023 Nissan Kicks SUV was eastbound on Flamingo Road approaching a green light at Pecos Road.
At the same time, a pedestrian was walking a dog in the area and the dog darted into the street. The pedestrian ran into the street to get the dog and both were hit by the Nissan.
Medical personnel rushed the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition as of Tuesday morning.
Similarly, the Clark County Animal Control responded but the dog died in the accident.
The Nissan driver remained on the scene and officers said did not show any signs of impairment.
