Hit-and-Run Driver Wanted after Pedestrian Collision near Mary Street

 
EL CAJON, CA (January 11, 2019) – A man was injured Friday morning following a hit-and-run crash on Ann Street. The identity of the victim was not immediately disclosed to the public.
 
According to the El Cajon Police Department, the incident happened near Mary Street, at about 5:45 AM. The pedestrian was seen arguing with an SUV driver before he was struck by the driver that fled in an unknown direction.
 
The victim, described as a man in his 30s, was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Further updates on his current medical condition were not provided.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the events that led to the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone with information is asked to call El Cajon police at (619) 579-3311. Additional details will be released to the public once available.
