Pedestrian Hospitalized in Foothill Boulevard Accident [Fontana, CA]

Fontana, CA (May 21, 2024) – A pedestrian sustained critical injuries following a Foothill Boulevard accident late Sunday night.

It was about 11:19 p.m. on May 19 when the traffic accident happened west of Oleander Avenue.

Investigators said the man attempted to cross Foothill Boulevard outside of the crosswalk from the south side to the north side on a green light.

A vehicle traveling west hit the pedestrian crossing in the No. 2 westbound lane. 

Immediately, the pedestrian was taken to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with head and leg injuries while the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. 

Troopers said there were no signs of intoxication or drug use on the driver’s part.

The authorities are investigating this traffic accident.
