HESPERIA, CA (August 3, 2019) – A pedestrian sustained injuries after an accident on Bear Valley Road on Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near the intersection of Mariposa Road at approximately 8:58 PM. Based on an initial report, a white Chevrolet pickup truck struck the victim. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
 
Paramedics took the pedestrian to Desert Valley Hospital by a ground ambulance before being airlifted to a trauma center for treatment of unknown injuries. However, the condition of the pedestrian is currently unknown.
 
The eastbound traffic on Bear Valley Road stopped for approximately 20 minutes while rescue and clearing operations took place in the area. However, the cause of the accident on Bear Valley Road is not yet known.
