Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Cajalco Road in Lake Matthews

 
LAKE MATTHEWS, CA (February 12, 2020) – A pedestrian died after struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Lake Matthews, CHP officials said.
 
The fatal incident happened around 6:40 p.m. on Cajalco Road near Carpinus Drive.
 
Emergency crews who arrived at the scene confirmed the pedestrian died as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has been withheld by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office pending family notification.
 
The involved motorist stopped and cooperated with police.
 
The CHP is still investigating the cause of this tragic crash.
