Pedestrian Dies in West Westbow Boulevard Accident [Spokane, WA]

Spokane, WA (October 03, 2021) – On Wednesday, a pedestrian was fatally struck in West Westbow Boulevard accident.

The fatal crash took place at about 10:15 p.m. at the intersection with South Spotted Road, near the Spokane International Airport.

Officers said that the male pedestrian was the driver of a Honda SUV who got involved in an earlier one-vehicle accident on West Westbow Boulevard.

Apparently, he called for a tow truck and crossed Westbow Boulevard on foot to contact the tow truck driver.

Unfortunately,  a Subaru driver did not notice the man walk in front of his vehicle. Reports said the driver did not have time to react and his Subaru struck the man.

The driver pulled over to check on the victim and provided CPR.

Sadly, the pedestrian died at the scene.

The Subaru driver cooperated with the investigation. The officers did not charge the driver.
