Man Dies in Train Accident in Merced

Merced, CA (September 22, 2020) – On Saturday, September 19, a pedestrian died in a train accident on East 16th Street near Highway 99 Overpass.

Merced Police Officer  Lt. Joe Weiss says that the Union Pacific train hit a pedestrian in his 40s at about 12:50 p.m.

Moreover, the local police immediately secure the scene until the Union Pacific police, who will be conducting the investigation.

Ultimately, Lt. Weiss confirms that the pedestrian died at the scene of the crash.
