Person Fatally Struck by Two Vehicles near Luna Road

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (December 10, 2018) – A pedestrian was killed early Monday evening following a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 395. The identity of the victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
 
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened near Luna Road, at about 7:00 PM. A black passenger vehicle was traveling southbound when it struck a pedestrian and collided with a northbound vehicle.
 
The vehicle following the southbound vehicle also hit the pedestrian, causing critical injuries. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
 
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fatal collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Deputy DeKeyrel or Deputy Dean at the Victorville Police Station at (760) 241-2911. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
