Hit-and-Run Crash on Telegraph Avenue Killed Pedestrian

 
Oakland, CA (September 11, 2020) – On Thursday, a pedestrian was severely injured in a hit-and-run crash on Telegraph Avenue.
 
Police said the victim was hit by a hit-and-run vehicle driver in North Oakland.
 
The victim is a 43-year-old man who authorities said was a transient. Authorities have not yet released his name.
 
Additionally, the authorities found the victim suffering from multiple injuries. They located him in a street in the 3900 block area at about 6:11 a.m. on September 10.
 
Moreover, police said it looked that the victim was struck by a vehicle exiting a parking lot. Police did not say if the man was on the sidewalk or crossing the street at the time of the accident.
 
Furthermore, the suspect driver left in the vehicle without checking on the man’s condition.
 
Immediately, the rescuers took the man to a hospital where he was initially thought to be in stable condition. But authorities said he later died at 1:18 PM.
 
Meanwhile, police said it is not yet known if alcohol was a factor in the crash.
