Driver Flees Las Vegas Fatal Collision
Las Vegas, NV (June 25, 2023) – On Thursday night, a pedestrian sadly died following an East Sahara Avenue hit-and-run crash.
The fatal accident happened at about 10:29 p.m. at State Street.
The accident report indicated that a black 2013 BMW 328I was eastbound on E Sahara Avenue approaching the intersection at State Street, traveling at a high rate of speed. At the same time, a silver Mercury Sable was making a left turn from westbound E Sahara Avenue to go southbound State Street.
According to the authorities, a pedestrian was in the eastbound bus lane of Sahara Avenue during that time.
LVMPD stated that the front of the Mercury struck the BMW on the driver’s side. As a result, the BMW rotated while traveling eastbound and the BMW’s passenger side struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian was east to the bus lane while the BMW continued rotating eastbound and stopped in the middle of three eastbound travel lanes. Afterward, the BMW driver fled the scene on foot.
Sadly, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
