Pedestrian Dies in DUI Crash on Chapman Avenue and Victoria Drive, Driver Arrested [Fullerton, CA]

DUI Crash on Chapman Avenue and Victoria Drive Kills 1 Man

Fullerton, CA (August 20, 2021) – A male pedestrian died in a DUI crash on Chapman Avenue and Victoria Drive on Thursday night. 

The fatal crash happened on August 19 in the area of Chapman Avenue and Victoria Drive at about 9:13 p.m.

Sgt. Brandon Coyle, Fullerton Police Department’s public information officer, said that they found a man lying down on the road. Coyle reported that the man was on the eastbound lanes of Chapman Avenue near Annin Avenue where the vehicle struck him. 

Due to the impact of the crash, authorities pronounced the man dead on the scene. His identification has not been released. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene. Officers conducted a field driving under the influence investigation and later, arrested the driver for driving under the influence. 

However, the investigation remains ongoing.
