OAKLAND, CA (June 8, 2020) – A pedestrian suffered critical injuries after a hit-and-run crash on Fruitvale Boulevard on May 29.
 
The authorities came to the crash scene around 10:36 p.m. in the 1400 block of Fruitvale Boulevard and International Boulevard.
 
According to reports, a GMC pickup truck driver exited from International Boulevard onto Fruitvale. Then, the driver hit a pedestrian in the crosswalk before escaping the scene.
 
The responders transported the 77-year-old female pedestrian to a hospital in critical condition.
 
At this time, the police are withholding her identity due to pending family notification.
