Vehicle Hits Pedestrian in Accident on Pleasant Valley Road
OXNARD, CA (August 1, 2019) – A pedestrian was critical after an accident on Pleasant Valley Road, Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at the intersection of Cypress Road around 8:49 PM. Based on an initial report, the 29-year-old man was crossing the crosswalk against a red light when he was hit by a white Honda Accord.
The victim was sent by an ambulance to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
The Oxnard Police Department reported that the driver remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Alcohol did not appear to be a factor. An investigation is still on-going to determine the cause of the commotion.
