1 Person Hospitalized in Santa Cruz Pedestrian Accident on State Route 1 and River Street

SANTA CRUZ, CA (April 2, 2025) – Monday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on State Route 1 and River Street injured one person.

The incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of State Route 1 and River Street.

According to reports, a vehicle struck a pedestrian who was crossing the roadway while at a red light.

Moreover, responders rushed the victim to Dominican Hospital with critical injuries. Then, officers confirmed that the victim was later transported to a trauma center for further treatment.
