According to authorities, the fatal crash happened at around 4:45 a.m. near Flamingo and El Rey Avenues.

Reports say that a vehicle struck a man standing in the roadway on North Second Street causing fatal injuries.

Authorities say that emergency crews transported the man to Sharp Memorial Hospital, where he later died.

The 58-year-old driver, traveling northbound, remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
