According to the Austin Fire Department (AFD), the horrific crash happened on the I-35 service road at East Riverside Drive.

Authorities freed the individual, and Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS) classified them as a trauma alert before transporting them to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries.
