The authorities said that the fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision happened at around 6:17 p.m. on the US-50 freeway near East Nye Lane.

According to the investigating officers, a car fatally struck a pedestrian attempting to cross the freeway. Officials pronounced the person dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and the collision did not injure the driver.
