CHP Investigates Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Collision on State Route 259
San Bernardino, CA (May 29, 2023) On Saturday evening, a man died after a pedestrian crash on Highway 259.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal auto-pedestrian collision happened around 9:12 p.m. on State Route 259, near the 30th Street onramp.
Reports say that a man was fatally struck by at least 1 vehicle. Multiple vehicles stopped to help the male pedestrian, however, CHP says that the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials say that the driver of a silver vehicle that hit the man stayed at the scene and was not injured due to the collision.
CHP is investigating the auto-pedestrian collision and has not released further details about the crash.
