Female Driver Arrested After Striking and Killing Pedestrian in Cutler
Cutler, CA (September 18, 2024) On Saturday evening, a 49-year-old man from Cutler was hit and killed in a tragic pedestrian crash on First Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the fatal incident happened around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a crash on First Drive, west of Cutler Drive.
Reports say that a woman driving a black Dodge Caravan was heading westbound on First Drive when she struck the man, who was walking northwest across the road.
Officials pronounced the man dead at the scene, while the driver remained unharmed.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but authorities believe alcohol and/or drugs may have been a factor. The driver has been arrested.
