SACRAMENTO, CA (October 20, 2024) – Friday morning, a horrific pedestrian crash on 500 Jefferson Boulevard killed one person.

The incident happened around 11:00 a.m. in the 500 block of Jefferson Boulevard.

According to reports, a brush truck responding to a brush fire drove over a carpet along the railroad tracks. Authorities said that two people were later found under the carpet.

Moreover, officers confirmed that a male victim died in the incident. Then, paramedics transported a female patient to UC Davis Medical Center with serious injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the fire department personnel involved in the incident will be on paid administrative leave.
