Pedestrian Accident on W State Street Seriously Injures 60-Year-Old Woman [Vandalia, MO]

Vandalia, MO (January 31, 2025) – A 60-year-old Vandalia woman was injured in a pedestrian accident on W State Street Wednesday.

MSHP officers said an 89-year-old driver in a 1999 Lincoln Town Car traveled west on W State Street through the intersection with S Walnut Street and struck the pedestrian.

The Vandalia woman sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital.

Troopers said the driver was wearing a seatbelt during the collision.

Officers are investigating.
