Hit-and-Run Driver Injures Woman in Roseville-Fleet Ridge Pedestrian Crash

San Diego, CA (February 8, 2025) On Thursday evening, a frightening pedestrian accident on Talbot Street left a 57-year-old woman with injuries.

According to the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), the shocking incident happened at about 7:16 p.m. at Talbot Street and Canon Street.

Reports say that a hit-and-run driver struck the woman as she crossed a street in San Diego’s Roseville-Fleet Ridge neighborhood, fracturing her fibula.

Investigators determined the victim was crossing west to east in the north crosswalk of the 3700 block of Talbot Street when an unknown vehicle, traveling east on Talbot, turned north onto Canon Street and hit her, according to SDPD Officer Jose Perales.

The driver failed to stop and fled the scene. Emergency responders transported the woman to a hospital, where doctors confirmed her injuries were not life-threatening. Authorities have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
