Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident on Ash Street

 
ESCONDIDO, CA (July 17, 2019) – A 28-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident on Ash Street on July 15.
 
The incident occurred about 10:00 p.m. on Ash Street just north of Pennsylvania Avenue, Escondido Police Lt. Scott Walters revealed.
 
Investigators suspect that a woman drove a northbound dark gray compact car on Ash Street. After that, she struck a man just past Pennsylvania Avenue and fled without stopping.
 
Responders transported the pedestrian to Palomar Medical Center with serious injuries.
 
Police did not release any other information regarding the accident on Ash Street at this time. However, authorities ask anyone with information to contact Officer Steve Braucht, the traffic investigator in charge of the case, at 760-839-4482.
