46-Year-Old Paula Childs Faces Charges Following DUI Crash on S Truman Boulevard [Festus, MO]

Festus, MO (March 21, 2025) – Paula Childs, 46, of Festus, was arrested following a DUI crash on S Truman Boulevard Wednesday afternoon.

The traffic accident happened about 3 p.m. on 650 S Truman Boulevard, at the Twin City Walmart parking lot 

Troopers said Childs backed her car into two female pedestrians and seriously injured them. Immediately, the rescuers rushed the 55-year-old St. Louis woman and the 63-year-old Festus woman to the hospital.

The authorities added that parked vehicles including a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, a 2003 Chrysler Sebring, and a 2023 Ford F-150 pickup were struck and one of those vehicles got pushed into a 2022 Jeep Wrangler.

Police charged Paula Childs with two counts of driving while intoxicated, causing serious physical injury. Each count is punishable by up to seven years in prison.
