James Lee Sorg Arrested after Fatal Crash on East 29th Street in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (May 22, 2023) – Sunday afternoon, 54-year-old Paul A. Antonio died in a crash on East 29th Street.
The fatal crash on East 29th Street in Tucson happened around 2:45 p.m. on May 21.
According to TPD, a man on his bike was hit by a white 2010 Chevrolet Colorado and was pronounced dead.
The Chevrolet Colorado, which was moving eastbound on 29th Street in the curb lane, allegedly struck Antonio as he crossed the street from north to south.
Antonio was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The Chevrolet Colorado was traveling over the posted 35 MPH speed limit.
Investigators said speeding and impaired driving are the major contributing factors to the collision.
The driver was identified as 40-year-old James Lee Sorg. He was charged with one count of Manslaughter and was booked into the Pima County Jail.
