Patrick Reed Arrested in Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 7 [Pierce County, WA]

Patrick Reed Hospitalized in DUI Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 7 Near Eatonville Highway East

 
PIERCE COUNTY, WA (July 3, 2019) –Five people were hurt Sunday in a two-vehicle accident along Highway 7 near Eatonville Highway East.
 
The incident befell around 7:27 p.m. just south of Eatonville.
 
According to Washington State Patrol, a northbound 1994 Honda Civic driven by 19-year-old Patrick J. Reed allegedly attempted to pass up another vehicle on a curve and struck an oncoming vehicle head-on.
 
The 68-year-old Morton man in the other vehicle, as well as a 64-year-old Morton woman and a 26-year-old Morton woman in his car, suffered injuries. Reed, as well as his 19-year-old female passenger, suffered injuries and required hospitalization at Good Samaritan Hospital.
 
At this time, the crash remains under investigation, but thus far State Patrol believes either alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. Reed, of Spanaway, may face a charge of vehicular assault.
