Patrick O’Neil Injured, Gabriel Boyd Arrested in State Route 3 DUI Crash

Belfair, WA (October 13, 2021) – On Monday, 50-year-old Patrick O’Neil of Seabeck suffered injuries, while officers arrested 22-year-old Gabriel Boyd of Port Orchard in a DUI crash on State Route 3.

Officers said Boyd was northbound on the freeway at JRS Hideway when he crossed the center line and crashed head-on with an oncoming vehicle. 

The crash injured the other vehicle’s driver, O’Neil.

Boyd fled the crash scene but was caught by law enforcement a short time later. 

Officers believe Boyd was under the influence during the crash. They charged him with DUI and vehicular assault. Boyd was also injured in the crash.
