Patrick Custodio Dead in Hayward Motorcycle Accident on 880 Freeway

 
HAYWARD, CA (July 4, 2019) – A rider died in a motorcycle accident on 880 Freeway on July 3.
 
The fatal motorcycle crash occurred on 880 Freeway just south of Tennyson Road around 6:20 a.m. CHP spokesman Officer Manuel Leal revealed that the officers came after receiving reports of a rider down in the No. 3 southbound lane.
 
Leal added that the rider kept splitting lanes when he crashed into the back of a pickup truck. The collision threw Patrick Custodio of San Leandro off from his motorcycle and a vehicle struck him.
 
The collision shut down four lanes of the highway until before 9:00 a.m.
 
Leal admitted that it’s still unclear whether the speed is a factor in the collision. Authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as factors in the incident.
