Midland, TX (March 6, 2025) – 18-year-old Osmar Guerrero was killed on Sunday evening after a frightening traffic crash on CR 1140.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the deadly crash happened after a driver failed to stop at a sign.

Reports say that the 22-year-old Pedro Lopez drove a 2014 Ford Mustang northbound on County Road (CR) 1140 when he ran a stop sign at the Business-20 intersection.

His vehicle collided with a 2020 Ford Fusion driven by 38-year-old Gregory Boyd, who was heading eastbound.

The impact pushed Lopez’s vehicle into the eastbound lane, where a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban struck it. Lopez’s passenger, Guerrero, was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital but tragically passed away on Tuesday.

Authorities confirmed that all drivers and passengers wore seatbelts at the time of the crash. The investigation remains ongoing, and further details are unavailable at this time.
