Driver Dies in Brown Estates Vehicle Crash
Kansas City, MO (May 6, 2025) – A passenger was seriously injured following a solo-vehicle crash on 63rd Street Sunday evening.
It was around 8:30 p.m. when the fatal collision happened on Winchester Avenue in the Brown Estates neighborhood.
Investigators said a white Dodge Challenger was speeding west on 63rd Street when it failed to negotiate the curve of the road.
As a result, the vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned.
The driver and front-seat passenger, who were not wearing seat belts, were both thrown from the vehicle.
Both of them were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, wherein the driver was later declared deceased.
