Passenger Injured in Nevada Gold Mines Fatal Crash [Eureka County, NV]

Eureka County, NV (September 19, 2023) – Minutes last 1:50 a.m. on Sunday, a passenger was injured in a Nevada Gold Mines fatal crash.

The fatal accident happened between Leeville and Gold Strike.

Immediately, Nevada Gold Mines, NGM Mine Rescue, ECSO, Carlin Police, Carlin Fire, and EMS responded to the accident scene and located a Tona Tec Exploration truck that rolled over as it was coming down a hill.

Sadly, the driver was declared deceased at the scene while a passenger was transported to Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital with injuries.

ECSO deputies alongside the Mine Safety and Health Administration and Nevada State Mine Inspectors are investigating the fatal crash.
