Driver Sustains Injuries in Fatal Crash Near Mile Marker 168
Winnemucca, NV (January 30, 2023) – On Saturday, a passenger died and a driver sustained injuries in a rear-end collision on Interstate 80.
The crash took place at around 12:20 p.m. on the eastbound freeway near mile marker 168.
Nevada State Police said an SUV and a truck carrying a trailer were traveling on the freeway when the SUV rear-ended the truck.
Subsequently, the SUV overturned and a passenger in the SUV was thrown from the vehicle.
Unfortunately, the passenger died at the crash dead on the scene.
The driver, on the other hand, was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
