Second Paraglider Accident Reported in San Jacinto

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (April 5, 2019) – Another paraglider suffered injuries after crashing into the mountainside of Soboba Road near Chabela Drive Thursday.
 
According to reports, Thursday’s incident that happened at 10:09 a.m. marks the second crash and hoist rescue involving Soboba Paragliding and Speed Flying.
 
In the 200 block of Soboba Road, firefighters and other emergency personnel responded to the accident report. Upon officials’ arrival, they found a paraglider with serious injuries after crashing into the mountainside.
 
Upon observing the victim’s injuries, officials contacted a helicopter to perform a technical hoist and rescue operation. The victim was hoisted on the mountainside around 11:30 a.m. before paramedics transported the patient to an area hospital.
 
Investigators are examining this case to determine the cause.
