Anderson County Traffic Accident Kills Driver and Passenger
Anderson County, TX (April 1, 2023) – On Thursday, driver Justen Woodruff, 33, of Athens, and his passenger, Paige Alison Hill, 21, also of Athens, lost their lives following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 19.
It was about 3:45 p.m. when Woodruff was driving a southbound Hyundai Elantra on the freeway and made a U-turn in front of a Volvo truck tractor pulling a trailer.
The Volvo struck Woodruff’s vehicle killing Woodruff and Hill at the scene.
Moreover, the truck driver, Eric Lanier Franklin, 61, of Houston, did not sustain injuries from the accident.
DPS is currently investigating the fatal accident.
