32-Year-Old Othneil Lewis Dead After Auto-Pedestrian Crash on 19th Avenue in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (June 16, 2025) – 32-year-old Othneil Lewis died in a crash on 19th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.

A vehicle struck and killed a man overnight in north Phoenix, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department reported that the incident occurred around midnight near 19th and Dunlap avenues.

When officers arrived, they found the injured man lying in the roadway. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died from his injuries. 

Police identified the victim on Monday as 32-year-old Othneil Lewis.

The driver involved in the crash remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. 

Based on preliminary findings, police do not believe impairment played a role in the collision.

The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
