Osvaldo Ibarra Arrested after Fatal Rollover Crash on Vincent Road [Delhi, CA]

1 Killed and Several Injured in Car Accident on Linwood Avenue in Delhi

DELHI, CA (May 7, 2020) – Saturday evening, Osvaldo Ibarra was arrested after a fatal rollover crash on Vincent Road in Delhi.

The authorities responded to the scene just after 9:30 p.m. on Vincent Road, south of Linwood Avenue.

According to reports, 21-year-old Ibarra of Turlock, drove a 2002 Toyota Camry with seven occupants. In addition, two juvenile females rode on the laps of the rear passengers.

Ibarra was driving south on Vincent Road at a high rate of speed when he lost control and veered off the road. The Toyota then rolled over several times before coming to a stop on its driver’s side on the dirt shoulder.

Due to the impact, Ibarra and one female passenger were ejected onto the roadway in dusty and dark conditions. Shortly after, a 20-year-old Delhi man driving a southbound 2001 Chevy S10 ran over the female.

As a result, she was left with major injuries and was later airlifted to Doctor’s Medical Center for further treatment. However, she later succumbed to her injuries.

Meanwhile, emergency personnel freed two juvenile male passengers who were stuck inside the car. Reports revealed that the two male passengers were seated in the rear seats.

California Highway Patrol believes that Ibarra was driving under the influence. Authorities later arrested him. However, he was later released due to the extent of his injuries.

Meanwhile, the other passengers inside the Toyota received treatment for major and moderate injuries. CHP also clarified that the pickup-truck driver was not under the influence and remained uninjured.
